Prince - Prince Cancels Dublin Concert

Pop superstar PRINCE has pulled out of a concert in Ireland - less than a week before it was due to take place.

The Purple Reign hitmaker was scheduled to play at Croke Park in Dublin on Monday (16Jun08), but has cancelled "due to reasons beyond the control of Prince and (concert promoters) MCD Productions".

A statement from MCD, released on Tuesday (10Jun08), says, "MCD and Prince wish to apologise for the inconvenience caused to the 55,161 patrons who purchased tickets, to Croke Park, their customers and all the individuals who have worked tirelessly to bring the show to Dublin."

The promoters have offered all ticketholders full refunds.
